“Strengthening social cohesion and community harmony”
Our community drumming programs respond to local challenges of social isolation, social cohesion and integration that communities face.. The programs have proven very successful in tackling these challenges and the benefits have been widespread. Some of the outcomes have included:
Increased intercultural engagement and understanding that transcend cultural and religious differences.
Support of diverse groups to develop relationships with one another promoting social cohesion and belonging and a sense of neighbourhood security and friendliness..
Increased use of public places and spaces creating safer and more connected neighbourhoods.
Addressing the structural barriers to social inclusion by bringing different age and cultural groups into contact with each other in order to open up opportunities for social engagement and participation,
